Privacy policy

Effective May 12, 2026

This privacy policy explains how MiLo Detailing ("MiLo," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website, book a mobile car detailing service, or otherwise interact with us. MiLo is a sole-proprietor mobile detailing business operating in Miami-Dade & Broward Florida, with a mailing address at 14060 Biscayne Blvd, North Miami Beach, FL 33181. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Name, email address, and phone number when you book or request a quote
  • Vehicle details (make, model, condition photos) needed to scope the service
  • Service address (driveway, garage, office lot) where the appointment will take place
  • Booking time + service selections you make in our online wizard
  • Messages you send us via SMS, email, or Instagram DM
  • Marketing-SMS opt-in (only if you check the box during checkout)

Payment information

Deposits and final payment are handled by Stripe. MiLodoes not store full card numbers. We receive a transaction ID, the last 4 digits, the card brand, and the billing ZIP code so we can match payments to bookings. Stripe's privacy policy applies to your payment data: stripe.com/privacy.

Information collected automatically

  • Device + browser type, operating system, and referrer page
  • IP address (used for fraud prevention + approximate region)
  • Pages visited, time on page, and clicks (via Vercel Analytics + Google Analytics)
  • Cookies set by analytics + booking-state persistence (see Cookies section below)

How we use your information

  • Schedule and complete your detailing appointment
  • Send booking confirmations, reminders, and post-service follow-ups
  • Process deposits and final payment via Stripe
  • Respond to questions, quotes, and customer-service requests
  • Send a one-time review request after the job (declinable any time)
  • Send reactivation reminders if you opted into marketing SMS (≤ 4 per year)
  • Improve site performance, fix bugs, and prevent fraud

Who we share information with

We never sell your information. We share only with vendors that help us operate the service, each bound by their own privacy commitments:

  • Stripe: payment processing
  • Cal.com: calendar + appointment booking
  • Resend: transactional and post-service email
  • Telnyx: appointment-reminder + reactivation SMS
  • Vercel: website hosting + analytics
  • Google Analytics: anonymized traffic measurement
  • Government / law enforcement: only if compelled by valid legal process

Cookies + analytics

We use first-party cookies + localStorage to remember your booking state across the wizard so you don't lose progress on refresh. We use Vercel Analytics + Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages convert. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the booking wizard will still work, but progress will not persist between visits.

Your privacy rights

Regardless of where you live, you may request:

  • A copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction of any inaccurate information
  • Deletion of your information (we will keep what we're legally required to keep, e.g., tax records of completed transactions)
  • Opt-out of marketing SMS (reply STOP) or marketing email (use the unsubscribe link)

Florida residents may also exercise rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights when it takes effect. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. Send any rights request to milodetailing@gmail.com; we'll respond within 30 days.

SMS terms (TCPA)

Booking confirmations and appointment reminders are transactional and are sent regardless of marketing consent. Marketing SMS(reactivation reminders, seasonal promos) is sent ONLY if you check the "ok to text me about future deals" box at checkout. Message + data rates may apply. Message frequency varies but does not exceed 4 messages per year. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

Data retention

We retain booking records for 4 years for tax and warranty purposes (mold-remediation jobs carry a 30-day smell-back guarantee), payment records for 7 years per IRS requirements, and marketing opt-in records for as long as you remain opted in. Analytics data is retained per the vendor's default (Vercel: 12 months, Google Analytics: per your account settings).

Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, restrict access to customer data to the owner-operator, and never store payment card numbers. Payment is processed directly through Stripe's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. No system is 100% secure; if we discover a breach affecting your data we'll notify you within the timeframes required by Florida law.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If a parent or guardian believes we have, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we update this policy we'll change the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes will also be sent by email to active customers.
