01 · Why

Wax for three months, or ceramic for five years.

A wax holds two to three months on a Miami daily-driver before salt-spray, humidity, and UV strip it. A spray sealant doubles that. A real 5-year ceramic coating is a different category — a SiO2-based polymer that chemically bonds to the clear coat, forms a sacrificial layer, and resists everything Miami air throws at the paint. Beading carries forward through normal washes. Bird droppings and tree sap don’t etch as fast. Wash marring is reduced because the sacrificial layer takes the contact.

The math: a ceramic job on a $200K exotic preserves resale gloss and clear-coat health for the next five years of ownership. The cost is a fraction of the depreciation hit a worn clear coat causes at trade-in. The cheaper alternative is bi-monthly waxing forever, which most owners stop doing within six months.

02 · Process

Two days. Documented at every step.

1. Day 1 — prep. Wash + iron decon + clay bar. Paint depth read across every panel.
2. Day 1 — correction (if bundled). Single-stage to full correction depending on quote. Glass-finish clarity before ceramic touches the paint.
3. Day 1 — IPA wipe. Removes all polish residue. The ceramic bonds to bare clear coat, not to oils.
4. Day 1 — ceramic application. Panel-by-panel, controlled wipe-on / level / wipe-off. Six to eight hours.
5. Day 1-2 — cure under cover. 12 hours minimum, ideally 24. Garage or covered driveway, no water exposure.
6. Day 2 — walk-through. Owner inspects under sunlight, signs off, receives maintenance card + warranty card + photo doc + cure-schedule reminder.
