We are not legal advisors and are not responsible for how you use this contract. This generator outputs a starting-point document — review with your own attorney before sending to a paying customer. We are not liable for any disputes, judgments, or financial loss arising from the contracts you create with this tool.

How it works

  1. Fill it in this browser. Open the generator and type into the form. Your last contract auto-saves locally, so if your customer asks for a tweak after the fact, reopen the same template and the form is exactly where you left it. (Prefer to fill the saved PDF directly instead? pdfgear.com/pdf-form-filler works as a no-signup alternative for filling, but the in-browser form here is faster and remembers your business info.)
  2. Save as PDF.Click the export button. We trigger your browser's print dialog. Pick "Save as PDF" as the destination.
  3. Send via OpenSign Labs to actually get it signed (recommended). This is how the contract becomes legally executed.
    1. Sign up free at opensignlabs.com. Takes ~30 seconds. No card required. Unlimited documents on the free tier.
    2. Click "New Document" and upload the saved PDF.
    3. Add two signers: yourself first (Signer 1, Provider line) and your customer second (Signer 2, Client line). OpenSign walks you through your sign step before the customer's link goes out, so a contract you already signed lands in their inbox, not a blank one.
    4. Hit Send. Customer signs in their browser on any device. Both parties receive the final signed PDF plus an audit certificate by email.
  4. Email or text fallback. If your customer is allergic to signing accounts and the job is small, sign your side in pdfgear.com/sign-pdf, macOS Preview, or Adobe Reader Fill & Sign. Email or text the signed PDF. Ask them to sign on their phone (any PDF app works) and reply with the signed copy. Faster, but no audit trail. Use OpenSign for fleet retainers and any job over $500.
